Registration is now open for an exclusive opportunity to learn the ins and outs of creating a couture gown together with Anna! This is a 12-hour masterclass that is spread over the course of a month. We will meet one day a week for a three hour class and students will complete home assignments in the week following the class. We will go over fabric sourcing, pattern alterations, construction of a cap sleeve bodice with several variations of skirts. We will work to create a couture gown upon completion of the course, as well as cover several other possibilities of floor length skirt designs. Upon completion of the class you will have one style made, and all the other styles explained in detail, with charts and measurements provided.
This is a limited availability class that will be offered to a small number of students. You will be sent a hand-drafted bodice pattern via regular mail (no pdf downloads, printing or taping!). Students can request supplies to be chosen for them by Anna and her team - everything you need to create your beautiful gown. If you are interested in the supply bundle, please leave a comment with your preferred colors. Supply set includes: matte satin, pongee lining, decorative fabric for bodice, mesh and horsehair braid.
We will meet on weekends for a three hour class, four weeks in a row. First round of classes will begin on October 1, 2022. The classes will be held via video conferencing with multiple angles of video streaming for you to be able to easily follow along. Anna will guide you through every step of the intricate process, she will answer your questions, address your concerns and help with any steps you may find challenging.
The video classes will be recorded and uploaded online for you to be able to view them again. If you miss an in-person class - no worries, you will have access to a recorded version for 9 months after course completion.
You will need to know the basics of sewing in order to complete the course. Any sewing machine will work. We will discuss fabrics during the first week's class but if you'd rather be prepared, please follow the list of materials below:
